In this role, you will serve as the procurement focal point for our technology and hardware activities, partnering closely with Engineering, NPI, Supply Chain, Integration, Quality and Product teams from early product development through mass production.
This is a highly collaborative and execution-oriented role, combining strategic sourcing, technical procurement, supplier management and commercial negotiations, with strong ownership of cost, delivery, quality, technology and supply continuity.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead sourcing and procurement activities for technology and direct-material categories, including electronics, PCB/PCBA, electromechanical assemblies, mechanical parts, cables, enclosures and contract manufacturing.
Act as the Procurement Business Partner for Engineering and NPI, participating early in new-product introduction, supplier selection, technology decisions and sourcing strategy.
Manage RFQ/RFP processes, supplier evaluations, commercial negotiations and supplier selection.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, lead times, MOQ, tooling, capacity and long-term commercial agreements.
Build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers and contract manufacturers.
Drive cost-reduction, value-engineering and TCO initiatives together with Engineering, Operations and Finance.
Support NPI programs from initial sourcing and prototypes through FAI, ramp-up and transition to serial production.
Partner with Engineering and suppliers on ECOs, design changes, alternative materials and second-source qualification.
Monitor supplier performance across cost, quality, delivery and responsiveness, driving corrective actions and continuous improvement.
Identify sourcing and supply-chain risks and develop mitigation plans, alternative suppliers and business-continuity solutions.
Work closely with Planning and Supply Chain to align supplier capacity and material availability with business requirements.
Use data, ERP and procurement tools to improve visibility, decision-making and procurement processes.
Promote procurement automation, analytics and AI-based tools to simplify transactional work and increase focus on strategic activities.
